Relationship with open source projects

V2Ray Desktop is a reference site for Chinese-speaking V2Ray client users, covering download links for the three graphical clients v2rayN, v2rayNG and v2flyNG, installation and configuration walkthroughs, and a field reference for JSON configuration files.

All three clients are independently maintained open source software belonging to the Project V, V2Fly and Xray ecosystems respectively. This site takes no part in their development, release or version maintenance, has no affiliation, agency or partnership relationship with these projects or their maintainers, and has not been authorized or endorsed by any of them. Client and protocol names appearing on the site are used only for identification and explanation; all rights remain with their respective owners.

Risks of using the software

V2Ray clients are general-purpose network proxy tools, and how well they work depends on many factors, including your local network, operating system version, server configuration and the transport you choose. This site cannot guarantee connection speed, stability or availability, and makes no promises of any kind about the results you will get.

Users must judge for themselves whether their use case and local regulations allow it, and are responsible for their actions and any consequences. This site accepts no direct or indirect liability for connection failures, data loss or device problems caused by misconfiguration, incorrect system permission settings, conflicts with other network software on the device, or similar reasons.

Before installing, check that the package type matches your device model and system version. Any system permissions you grant during installation are your own decision, and you are equally responsible for what those permissions allow.

Content accuracy and version changes

Tutorials on this site were written against the client version and default interface available at the time, including menu names, button positions, field names and default values. Clients change their layout, rename options or add fields as versions progress, so differences between the real interface and the text here are normal.

Configuration examples (JSON snippets and routing rule syntax) illustrate structure and field meanings only. The values in them must be replaced with your own server details; copying an example as-is will not give you a working configuration.

This site does not promise that content stays in sync with the latest version, and is not responsible for failed steps caused by version differences. If the interface you see differs from the text, trust what the client currently shows, and check field meanings in the Configuration reference.

External links and third-party content

Some sections link to third-party documentation, protocol descriptions or resource pages; such links are provided only for convenience. The content, availability and safety of third-party pages are maintained by their owners, are beyond this site's control, and no guarantee is made about their accuracy.

Visitors bear the consequences of anything they do after following a link from this site to a third-party site. If a linked page is no longer available or no longer applies, use the on-site material in the tutorial pages and the Configuration reference instead.

Download links and version information

Download button links are resolved at page load from a version manifest maintained at the deployment layer; version numbers and file names follow whatever the manifest returns. If the manifest is unavailable, the fixed links kept inside the buttons still work. This site does not take part in releasing or maintaining client versions and is not responsible for how downloaded files change in later releases.

Package formats differ by platform: Windows offers archives and installers, macOS offers disk images, Android offers APK packages, and Linux offers both deb and rpm formats. Installing a package that does not match your system will fail, so pick the entry that matches your platform.
